Data Security
Your Privacy Is Very Important to Us
We know your genetic information is deeply personal—and we treat it that way. At InformedDNA, protecting your privacy is always our top priority.
When you join DNAimpact™ Rx, you’ll send a small saliva sample to our trusted lab partner, LabCorp. They test specific genes that help explain how your body processes different medications. From there, InformedDNA receives the technical results from the laboratory and analyzes it along with other health details you choose to share, so we can give you the clearest, most helpful insights about your medications. All of this information is safeguarded.
Most importantly, your DNA belongs to you. We simply help you make sense of it, and we take every step possible to keep your information safe and secure.
Your Privacy, Always Protected
You’re in control.
We will never share your genetic or personal information with employers, insurance companies, public databases, or marketers without your clear “yes.” You decide how your information is used and who it’s shared with—always.
Strong security is our promise.- All sensitive data is encrypted.
- We run regular security checks to spot and fix potential risks.
- Only a small, authorized team can access genetic or personal data.
We don’t release individual information even in a legal proceeding or to law enforcement unless legally compelled to do so (for example, by a court order or subpoena). Your privacy is our commitment.
We’re HIPAA Compliant
HIPAA is a federal law that protects your health information. Here’s what it means for you:
- More control: You get to decide how your health information is used.
- Transparency: You can ask who has accessed your records.
- Access: You can see your health records and request corrections.
- Boundaries: Your data is only shared when truly necessary, like protecting public health.
- Accountability: Anyone who breaks these rules can face serious consequences, which may include fines or even jail time, depending on the situation.
Our Responsibilities
- We’re legally required to protect your health information.
- We follow strict privacy practices, which you can review anytime online.
- If a breach ever occurs, we’ll let you know right away.
- We won’t use or share your information beyond what’s explained here—unless you give us specific permission. And if you change your mind, you can withdraw that permission at any time.
